I have been carrying a Glock 26 for about a year and I am in love with it. It is not only my EDC, but the only pistol I carry anymore. I carry IWB with an MTAC, and pocket with a DeSantis Nemesis. I am very very happy with these two holsters. I cannot seem to find leather high ride OWB holster I like though. I have been using a Blackhawk CQC Serpa. It is a good holster, but it has many drawbacks.

I stick a +2 mag in the G26 for a total of 12 rounds in the grip when I OWB carry. There is not much barrel there to stabilize that heavy grip in a holster. Even with a 5 stich Wilderness instructor belt, I have to cinch up TIGHT to keep it tight to my side. My latest purchase was a Galco Wraith, it is the worst one yet.

I either need to find a high ride holster that can stabilize this pistol, or abandon high rise holsters and use my MTAC IWB much more. I know its not the belt, the wilderness 5 stitch is stiff as can be!

No thumb breaks! I want an open top.

I greatly prefer full coverage for the barrel. I dont like holsters that let a bit stick out.

I will pay for quality, but not fancy.

I would prefer a well known maker.

I carry at 3 to 3:30 o'clock.

Any help is greatly appreciated! I am filling my reject holster drawer quickly!!

I carry with a Supertuck, Simply Rugged etc. But for OWB with small frame Glocks the winner so far has been the Glock factory holster. YMMV

I looked to my local gun shop for advice, and they also recommended the speed scabbard. Luckily they had one in stock! It appears that the wide stance of a belt slide holster helps allot to stabilize it. It pins the gun up vertically quite nicely!

Thanks for the advice!!

Mot45acp, I find those plastic Glock holsters are either loved immensely, or hated with passion. Why do you like them? For the price, I am seriously considering a purchase of one of these holsters.

You made a good choice. I carry my G19 in a Speed Scabbard (with a Wilderness belt) all the time, and it conceals very well.

Well I haven't heard of anyone hating them, but I dont get out much. The problem I had with my G26 can best be described as "top heavy" when carried OWB. The rear of the slide would kinda flop around. The Glock holster eliminates this. The other thing you will note is the "tabs" in the belt loops are cut to fit. (and where I accidently cut the wrong tab)

I like it so much that my next holster will be the large size for my 21SF and 30SF

If you give me a minute I will post pics with a 26, 19, and 17,

Here is some good holster design information from Horseshoe Leather.

http://www.holsters.org/holster-design.htm

He cautions against pancake designs for pistols with thick slides like the Glock. I would expect you may have problems holstering with that DeSantis, especially with that tall piece of leather at the mouth.

Nice, ambi and high ride. Just cut the bottom tabs to fit your belt. Honestly, I don't care for it with bigger guns, the barrel pokes out the bottom too much for me, but it's great with the babies. :p
