Right now I use a comp-tac MTAC holster for my M&P. However I am considering changing it up and switching to an OWB holster. What is important to me is that the gun rides high enough to be concealed under a t-shirt rather than needing something like a vest or long jacket. My MTAC does this fine, but I have a fobus paddle that sits way too low. Any suggestions? Also I would like to stay away from the super expensive custom leather that takes months to ship.

I kinda like the idea of the 3 slot holsters where I can use the FBI cant option but what a suggestion as to which is the best? Any suggestions? Also for reference I know a majority of the glock 21 holsters work the the M&P

I routinely carry a full-size Kimber CDP in a Milt Sparks 60TK, and often conceal this setup under only a plain t-shirt. The 60TK has, if I recall correctly, the highest ride of the Milt Sparks product line, and I can assure you it does ride quite high. I absolutely despise IWB carry, as I have found it incredibly uncomfortable. By comparison, the 60TK is extremely comfortable and easy to conceal, even with a full-size 1911, and was well worth the cost and the long wait to get one.

My only complaint on the 60TK revolves around my own laziness, which is I hate having to thread/unthread a belt through the holster loops. I use an Alessi CQC/S (a fantastic concealment holster with snap closing belt loops) when I carry my Colt Defender, and I really like having the option of easily removing the gun/holster via the snap loops. If the 60TK attached via snap loops like the Milt Sparks Axiom (or the aforementioned CQC/S), then I think I would have found my holster Nirvana :)

Rusty Sherrick makes a great High Ride OWB holster:

Be careful however...

It works well with a short grip...and a very compact weapon...like my Glock 26. Not everybody has the dexterity to draw a larger weapon...it would be pulling your arm to your armpit.

Simplyrugged excellent product at a great price. You can get the three slot option you mentioned. I think he still has a fairly short turn around.
