Bought one from an estate today. I know these are or were the cream of High Standard's crop. This pistol should have the mark of the smith that made it somewhere on the piece? It is one of the older models made in CT. Anyone know the approx value of this pistol in pristine condition ? I have no idea what kind of deal I got other than looking at the price of the newer texas made models...which I understand don't hold a candle to the older production. Thanks for any info....

Can't remember the smith's name but the 10X guns were built by the same guy who built guns for the US Olympic team.

Go on the High Standard forum on rimfirecentral.com. Those guys can tell you.

Edit: BTW - you should only shoot standard velocity ammo in it. And replace the mainspring if you don't know the usage history on it.
