High Standard 1911

I was at a local gun shop this afternoon and handled a High Standard 1911. I have owned a couple of 1911's but never been a big fan, but I liked the way this one felt. It was a "low end" model with the parkerized finish and very simple, but it felt very sturdy. Does anyone here have one or any experience with one?
