Just purchased a S&W 386 MountainLite (great price too...$394 plus shipping NIB) for camping/hiking/fishing carry. Anyone know of a comfortable shoulder holster for this revolver? I don't like a shoulder holster for normal ccw, but have found a belt holster gets in the way of a backpack belt.

It'll probably be worn under a jacket or loose shirt most of the time, but I'm not gonna bend over backwards to avoid printing. Basically more interested in comfort than concealability.

YES!

After years of searching, I found that the recently introduced Alaska Sportsman holsters are by far the best for carrying large handguns on the trail.

Thanks for the post, BTW. I've been trying to remember to post a review of these, but will do so down in the holster forum. See my post there for details.
