Accidentally discovered the ideal concealment method. For me at least..

I've been struggling with CCW for almost 2 years now.

Either its a comfortable paddle and it prints or I have to wear shirt 2 sizes too big conceal an outside the belt galco and be careful to never lift my arms above chest high or bend over at the waist to pick something up.

Or the MOB bangs on chairs and flops around.

The closest I've come is the beltster: a thick belt with a molded loop that carrys an auto barrel down in the right rear pocket. It still needs a long loose shirt to cover it and you lose a pocket.

This evening on a whim I decided to break out my VZOR 70 and the uncle mike's holster. I noticed that the thumb break and belt clip were reversible.

After switching the clip to the other side I was able to clip it to my belt inside the waistband at 1:00 with 100% comfort and concealability.

I just can't believe after $440 in holsters, new shirts and constant printing paranoia It was right under my nose the whole time for $6.

I had a decent IWB for my 1911 but there was a perspiration problem
and my gun would rust after just a few hours. (my sweat rots away watches, guns and hat adjustment clasps.

The uncle mikes breathes a little better and covers the gun completely.

Those shirts may absorb water but they still transmit it to anything touching them. They don't make the water disappear after all.

Everyone slams Uncle Mike's because they're cheap but in reality for some people they can work almost as well as something that costs over 10x that. I have one of the cheapo Uncle Mike's IWB holsters for my cheapo (but reliable-o) gun and it really disappers attached to my belt under a simple t-shirt at 4 o'clock. And it's comfy too. I DO want to get some kind of shirt-tucker holster as well but I'll have to wait until my birthday for that.

Of course after the wife finishes med school and becomes a certified doctor I'll be able to get the good stuff (both gun and holster). :D Until then UM's is fine.

Hey, I live in McAllen and its even hotter here than San Antonio. I wear my gun every moment I'm alive, except when I'm asleep and then it's by my side. I don't see where the problem is.

I normally carry an Officer's size .45 in a tuckable IWB holster and it isn't seen by anyone. Not at work and not even at Church. You look normal and can go anywhere with a tucked in shirt. Lots of folks recommend baggy shirts worn outside the pants but I'd think that there are limits on where you can go like that. Can you do that at work?

Whatever gun you choose to carry, it must meet the requirements of the job. For me, that means compact and stainless (somewhat rust resistant) and regular cleaning. I don't think that CHL is compatible with a gun inappropriate for the job.

I'd have to lose 50lbs if tucking is a requirement :uhoh:

6ft 5in 280 Lbs large frame

I've got a gun of some sort on or with me at all times as well.

Sometimes wet, sometimes poking through my shirt sometimes dragging my pants down.

I've been carrying a stainless Charles Daly however its not appropriate for all occasions or types of shirts.

I agree IWB is the way to go.

I either carry my pistol in a Blade-Tech IWB, or an Uncle Mikes Pocket holster. I only own two Uncle Mikes holsters (pocket & Kydex), and find them to be of very good quality for the money.
I have been known to pack my CZ 70 also.;)

jsalcedo, I discovered the same thing. I tried my Vertec everywhere before finding out that the 1:00 position is the most comfortable for me, too.

Does that not inhibit you from bending over? It seem like the grip would stick you in the gut.

Nope for some reason the gun is small enough that it does not hinder movement that much.

Uncle Mikes are great. I checked them out right away when I started carrying. Haven't found anything more comfortable in IWB. Luckily, I hadn't spent much before, and no need to spend much now.:D

jsalcedo,
What size of gun are you useing? I tried the 1 O'clock postition with my p239 in a high noon tuckable and it both stuck me in the leg and the gut , very uncomfortable. Maybe it's my size but I wouldn't think so, I'm 6'3" @ 215lbs.
