Getting myself armed with facts

Has there ever been an elementary/jr high/highschool/college shooting where an armed citizen lost is weapon to the attacker?

What are some school shootings where average folks used guns to lessen the situation.

I recall 3 incidents off the top of my head, help me flesh them out please and add more

1. Texas, guy in the belltower, was actually pinned down by rifle fire from average folks, but this is hardly ever mentioned

2. high/jr high school shooting, teacher/principal went to car and got gun, confronted shooters and they surrendered

3. Law school, shooter was confronted by armed students, who made him drop his gun, then one tackled him. Of course student subduing him was covered, but not that they first used their own guns to get him to stop and drop his gun

There is a discussion in Lott's book - the Bias against Guns

Heres one case

Off-duty police officer Robert Clark found himself caught in the middle of the Santee, CA school shooting. Fortunate to live in a jurisdiction that recognizes the value of allowing off-duty officers the choice of arming themselves, Officer Clark identified himself as a police officer, drew his handgun and confronted the armed killer. He forced the killer to surrender, saving countless children and adults from death or grievous injury.
