Not a scientific poll. Readers of The Huffington Post are mostly liberal so that poll will lean that way.

Which of the following would you say is most likely to prevent mass shootings from occurring in the United States?

That question doesn't provide the proper answer options. They only offer more gun control vs. more guns vs. not sure. What about helping the mentally ill? What about simply NOT tolerating violence in society and raising children who respect other people? What about figuring out how to help dysfunctional families so that they don't raise monsters?

I was going to ask if it was closed already, but looking at the dates of recent posts, I guess it's just my slow dial-up that wouldn't load em.

Also throwing out that it might be good to copy and paste the link instead of clicking on it from here, as I understand it that way they can't 'track' it back to a pro-2A site. Of course they'll think that's what's happened if the numbers don't look exactly as they want either way (even if that's not the ENTIRE reason behind it)....

Funny how, before LBJ's "Great Society" took hold in the 60's, kids brought their guns to school because they were going hunting either before or after - and it was no big deal. Now, if a kid mentions the word, draws a picture, or makes a "finger" gun, he gets suspended or expelled. Of course, back then, kids addressed adults with "yes Sir" and "no, Ma'am", and were polite and responsible. They also knew what would happen if they got in trouble at school - now, it seems, a lot of these parents don't care or encourage the behavior - that is, if there is even a parent around that is not dead or in jail...........but the left will still demonize the item, not the folks responsible
