Pondering one or the other of these 9mm's for everyday CCW. What say you smart folks? Pros and cons? The good, the bad, and the ugly on each of these (for everyday CCW)?

Two very different animals..

365 is just a bit to small for me while the SK is a little larger than it needs to be.

The 365 is quite a bit smaller (too small for me) with a much better trigger (IMO).

The rest is probably a wash

I carry a P30SK with a LEM trigger in winter months and find it to be a great option. In summer I carry a Sig P938 Legion because it’s small and a fun shooter.

I’ve put 50 rounds through a P365 and liked it very much. It’s small but shoots softer than I’d expect. It’s a bit small for me, but I think I could train that issue away.

They’re really different guns. For size and capacity the P365 is the winner if it fits your hand. If you want a fun shooter that’s going to hold up really well and will fit larger hands, I think the HK wins.

Here's one issue I forgot to mention, and need to clarify: Does the P365 slide lock open with the last round fired? The one I shot recently (and liked very much) was a range rental gun, and it did not lock open on the last round. I'm wondering if this is normal, or a function of defective well-worn range mags..... or.....???

Yes it does. Either something was wrong with the one you shot or being a small gun, it’s more likely your thumb was hitting the slide release.

The two I handled had incredibly mushy triggers with no definitive stop, reset, etc... I would pick my P2SK's LEM over those any day of the week.

Those could have been Pre "fix" models though, as its been a while since I checked them out.
I will be checking out the XL version soon as I see one.

Could be, the one I owned was very typical of the 320s I've shot. A little mushy, decent break, good reset, feels lighter than it actually was.

I've tried all the HK trigger options (I'm fairly certain) and only one Light LEM setup was OK in my opinion the rest I found pretty bad. But triggers are so subjective it's always a "what works for you" deal.

The P2000SK is HUGE compared to the 365. I fall into the camp that I personally don’t feel all the bugs are worked out of the 365 or that QC is lacking but the actual gun is really a marvel as far as size goes.

I very much like my P2K’s both SK and normal sized but really feel like something like a Walther PPS/G43/G43x /Shield are better competitors capacity notwithstanding.

Oh I will not argue with that at all... Ive sold many HK's because of the horrendous triggers.

Apples & oranges but I like the 365. Very easy to carry & shoot. I wouldn't carry with a 15 rd mag in it but they make for a good second mag.

Honestly I would not buy another HK hammer gun unless it has the LEM trigger. Mine is excellent and when I compare it to the HK45 I own the 45 feels terrible.

I find the DA/SA trigger on the P2000 and P2000sk to be better than the ones on the USP series.

I do not mind the DA pull. Is it as good as some other guns - now. But, I've carried the P2000 fr about 4.5 years now. I am fine with the trigger

Add me to the list of those who the P365 is too small for. Anyone know what is stopping SIG from making more grip module sizes (small/medium/large) for the P365 like they do for the P320?

Ah man, I thought I was going to see a side by side range test........ :)

Love my P-365, and the P-365XL is very interesting.

Couldn't have said it better myself; it's like he read my mind.

I'm in the P365XL, Glock 43X/48, CZ PCR type of category for carry guns that pique my interest. And the thinness of the P36XL and Glock 43x/48 with the capacities are what is most interesting these days to me.
