Found one, at a good price. Tell me about them, HK owners. How good are they? Can one be concealed easily? What are suggestions on concealment holsters. Any down sides to owning one. Any and all replies greatly appreciated. Would like to know any good and bad experiences before I purchase. Especially from people that use the USP 45, full size as there concealed carry gun.

I carry mine in a Bianchi leather pancake holster.
It's a very large gun, so not the easiest to conceal, but it's lightweight. It's an excellent shooter, and recoil is very mild.
Superbly accurate, and completely reliable. If I ever got into a gunfight, I would feel well armed with my USP.

It is a really fun gun to shoot. Totally reliable, plenty accurate, and easily controllable. Throw anything in there, it will fire off everything.

Mine have been all they are hyped to be. I am pretty much a 1911 and BHP guy but really like USP's. The grip angle is all 1911 and BHP, I like the cocked and locked option and the mag capacity doesn't hurt either. I have found them to be accurate and reliable. They get my vote in the tupperware catagory.

IMHO it is the most reliable bottom feeder I have ever found. It just won't quit. It will not jam or FTF. Intensional limp wristing has no effect. Different ammo has no effect.
It is as reliable as a revolver in a bottom feeder package.

You need to understand that they have several different actions to them. Make sure the action in that gun you are happy with.

I love my .45 USPf. Absolutely reliable, built like a tank, multiple options of cocked n' locked / decocked / decocked n' locked, and easy to shoot.
My only gripe is that the grip is a bit blocky (but the c feels perfect).
It is my nightstand gun.
I haven't tried to CCW it yet. My USPc has that duty.

I have a few USPs in various calibers & sizes. I like'em ALOT! IMO you can't go by going w/ a USP 45

I too have a USP-45 and absolutely love it. Very accurate, rugged and 100% reliable no matter what I fed it and using it on both IPSC, IDPA and general target and plinking as well, that's been a lot of rounds and not one malfunction! Normally I keep it with a UTl attached by the bed but during the winter months, it's the only sidearm I carry. Reason is that with -20 to -30 temps, wearing heavy gloves are a must. With the generous DA trigger guard combined with carrying it cocked and locked, even the heaviest ski gloves have no trouble getting into the trigger. Yeah, it's a little bukier than my Kimber but when you are wearing a coat, concealment is no problem at all. In the summer though, I do leave it at home a lot more and carry either my Kimber Royal Carry or Glock 23 instead.

I think the USP is the cat's meow. It IS the Uber pistol. I have a 45 fullsize as my nightstand gun as well. There is no pistol made that I would have more confidence in as my nightstand gun. Exteremely strong, accurate, cocked and locked, and more than anything else extreme reliability. Never had a hiccup in over 3000 rounds. It is a little big for CCW I think, but if it works for you, you'd be hard pressed to find a finer plastic pistol or metal pistol for that matter too. I own a fair amount of pistols and buy whatever the hell I want. For me the USP is the ultimate expression of a combat type pistol. Recoil is less than a 1911 also.

I recently purchased a USP 45, and it is great. It didn't take any getting used to. I had a real good session with it, right from the start. I really like the ability to safely carry it in single action; I'm not too fond of DA/SA guns without this option. I am very happy with this gun.

How's the finish hold up on USPs? I've heard that it isn't as good as a Glock for rust resistance. I know there are SS versions, but I've heard these are being phased out.
