As *I* was the impetus for fellow moderator Johnny Guest getting a .35 Whelen, I thought I'd brag on him, a little bit:

And we can be expected for an invitation to breakfast when?

Nice shot there man.

He shot it in Cottle county, at the base of the panhandle in Texas. Waning minutes of useful shooting light.

How exactly do you hunt hogs?

I've never had the opportunity to hunt hogs. The photo of Mr. Guest's fine conquest really has me curious now. What's the general MO for finding and shooting hogs? How does it differ, if at all, between Tejas and Florida for example? Are they more active early and late in the day? Are their feeding and mating habits somewhat predictable? Would my Marlin 336 in .35 Rem be a good choice for most hogs?
