In my searching for a set of grips for my soon project S&W 1917 I came across these. The website has no pictures but I believe they are the same shape as the rubber monogrips, but made out of hard nylon. The part that intrigued me was the statement that they "could be worked like wood to accommodate shooters who want to create a custom profile"
Has anyone every used these grips?
And more specifically, has antone ever modified a set? How easy is the nylon to work with? and how much can be removed safely?
Any pictures?
I am starting with a square butt N-frame and I want to slightly round the butt of the frame to make the base a little smaller, so thus the need for grips that can be shaped.
On a side note, if anyone knows where inletted grip blanks can be found, let me know. Numrich is out of almost everything N-frame related.
