I had been complaining that I have 4 J-frame S&W revolvers and each has a different grip. My wife bought me a Hogue rubber Monogrip. I really really like it. I installed it on my model 36 yesterday and took my three .38 Spl J frames to the range to try them out and compare grips. I will be getting a couple more of these Monogrips.
Here is my 36 with it’s original grip and a KB T-grip:

Here are my J-frames at the range - models 60 Pro, 442 and 36 (top to bottom)
Here is my 4th J-frame - my model 63
I like the 63’s grip but you cannot buy these new now (they are available on EBay). These are made by Uncle Mike’s and they are no longer making them because the designer did not renew his contract - whole ‘nother story. Ain’t going through it here.
Shooting the Hogue grip was pleasant and gave me very nice control. The grip on the 60 Pro is good looking but it just plain sucks for follow up shot control. It will be replaced with a Hogue grip.
The 63 will get a Hogue grip...I like the factory grip but I want consistency in my grips.
The 442 was going to get a Hogue grip until I shot this Target one handed string hand at 10 yards rapid fire (less than one second between shots)
The original boot grips stay
I am very happy with the Hogue Monogrip. I plan to change the 60 Pro and 63 grips out to the Monogrip. I am considering the Monogrip for my K frames as well. I will have to buy one and test it.
