Ordered a 20" maverick 88 8rnd shotgun and the knoxx recoil reducing adjustable stock this weekend. Now I need to add something to hold some extra shells. Was going to get just get a buttstock cuff but now that I have the knoxx stock coming, whats the best option for holding extra ammo with this setup? Links to the products would be great!

How is this one?

Thanks in advance.

Good choice in a shotgun. Have you shot a shotgun with a shell holder before? If notm get a butt cuff and a Tacstar shell holder. If you don't like the way the gun points, you're only out 30 bucks. TTacstar makes a great product, but now that I know how a shell holder feels and handles, I'd go with Mesa Tactical.

I've been using TacStar Sidesaddles on various shotguns for a good number of years now. I've never had problems with them, and like them a lot.

But some people don't care for them, like so many things it's pretty subjective. It shouldn't be so expensive you can't afford to try one, and if you don't like it, you should be able to sell it pretty easily.

The best accessory you can add to any serious shotgun is training and practice!

Thanks guys I ended up ordering the tacstar 6 rnd sidesaddle right after making this thread! I am excited to get the gun and install the stock and sidesaddle. Unfortunately Buds is taking its sweet time shipping the gun. Ordered sunday and it hasn't shipped yet. Last time I ordered from them I didn't get the order in till after lunch time and they shipped it the same day.

That's for sure...I've purchased gun parts and accessories that for some reason or another did not work the way that I thought they were going to...On to E-Bay or some other auction site they went. There's no need to keep that stuff around in case I might have a need some day...
