Well I was going to buy an AR and sell my Mini 14, but the check book said no!! I am going to keep my Mini 14 and trick it out for a portion of the cost.

Question #1
What are some good Holo scopes for a reasonable amount of money. Not looking to go to war, just do some 3 gun matches and plink around.

Question #2
What is a good Weaver Rail mounting system for the Mini 14

Question #3
I have the old wood stock on this gun. I was looking at the ATI Strikeforce stock, what are you thoughts on this stock, or any other stocks for the Mini 14

Thanks!!

Question 1: I would recommend a Bushnell Holosight. They run about $250 and they are a civilian version of the $400 EOTech minus a couple of features you wouldn't need anyway (Night Vision compatability and a metal shroud). It is the best scope for the price.

They aren't a knock-off eotech like they sell on ebay. Bushnell Holosights are actually made by EOTech

I think the bushnell holosite made by eotech is a good buy and is probably the one I would get at $230. I also like the latest generation Kobra site. I am really torn between the 2 for my Saiga 12 for a holosite.

Hmmm, check this out...

If you want the sight in the traditional, over the action spot then Warne makes a nice mount for about $30. If you want to "scout" mount it then Ultimak or Amega Ranges can hook you up for around $100.

Also I own 2 Minis, I would recomend A Hogue or Choate stock over Strikeforce. ATI stuff is not on the same level as Ruger IMO.

I forgot to mention that I am looking for a collasible stock for the MINI 14. I did not see an option for this with Houge or Choate. I shoot a lot in the winter also, so I want an option to work with my winter clothes.

Thanks

I believe Tapco makes a 6-position collapsable stock. I have not handled it though so I am not sure of the quality. Sage makes an awesome stock ala their M14 stock but they are around $500-$600. They are probably the best quality tactical stocks out there and also automatically bed your action but you could buy a second Mini for that price or a chinese M14.

I've been looking at the Bushnell Holosight, and while there are a few available here & there, most places I've used before say they are discontinued.....anyone know for sure?

I believe there was an older model 510021 that was discontinued Bushnell still lists the 510023 model on their website.

If you have a 181 series Mini 14, there are no really good over the bridge mounting systems . If you have the ranch rifle model, you have several viable options.

+1 on the Bushnell.

Mini 14

I checked a quick half dozen websites for the Bushnell Holosight and to no avail.

Seems even Bushnell is out (or at least for two weeks).

http://www.shopbushnell.com/detail/BSN+510023 $337. Guess that's MSRP.

I'm trying to find a good way to mount on a NRA Mini 14 Ranch Rifle. I'm not particularly thrilled with the way a Holosight looks on a rail and over the gas block.
I would rather move it back but haven't found a good way yet on the Ranch.
