Hi,

My wife just bought a Glock 42 and she needs a belt and a holster. She is not big on the idea of wearing a belt, but I will convince her that it is necessary. I don't think she should carry off body in a purse or fanny pack.

So what would your suggestions be for a good belt and holster combination with the female in mind? She wants to carry in the 5:00 o'clock position. If I am to convince her to wear a belt, the holster has to be easy to take on and off. The belt can't look like a man's belt.

I appreciate your help.

Chris

Lady Fist Holster

See if a Lady Fist holster with a 1.25" belt will work for her. It has worked for 2 of my co-workers so far. Also I suggest adding the body protector & full reinforced options. Remember gear is an long term investment you pay upfront. I just replaced my Fist belt after 7 years of daily wear but my holster is still great/ in service.

Fist is one of the few holster companies who have a full line of holsters made for women. Holsters made specifically made for women are very different dimensionally than those made for men. I forgot all about LadyFist but I have heard good things about their products.

They have a new site: http://www.fist-holsters.com/

Arch,

I was not trying to pick my wife's holster, just like I didn't pick her carry gun. I was simply asking for opinions from the group. Thank you.

Another possibility

Another possibility....the amazing Sticky Holster. She could wear it at 4:52 if the 5 o'clock position is a bit far back.

I was wearing the Sticky with a Ruger LCP between fleece pajama bottoms and bare skin. The PJ's had not real aggressive elastic waistband for tension.

I thought I'd put the Sticky to the test by jumping around, deliberately trying to make the Sticky Holster move out of place. It did not. BUT, the LCP freed itself from the holster, as the Sticky has no retention device other than compression from ones waistband. In my example above, waistband compression was almost non-existent.

Questions yet not asked by all y'all......no, there wasn't a round in the chamber.

Yes, I was doing this testing on soft carpet.

All in all, I'm quite impressed with the Sticky for comfort and its ability to "stick" where it's put. I use it IWB, at any position that suits what I'm wearing, and as a pocket holster.

My friend's wife uses inside a "bellyband" when she runs.

Black Rhino Concealment, Blackhawk ....

If you & your wife want a simple, secure, practical concealment holster, Id look into the Blackhawk SERPA CQC Sportster holster. It fits the Glock 42 .380acp in either left or right hand. The SERPA Sportster does not have the lever type security feature and she can wear the polymer rig with different belts, cants, heights. :D
The SERPA holsters are high quality & come with both belt loops/paddle.
These Sportster models are low cost too. I purchased my left hand SERPA Sportster(M&P Shield) for approx $16.00 from a small vendor in Texas. ;)

Another good choice would be www.BlackRhinoConcealment.com . She can get a good Kydex IWB/OWB concealment Glock 42 holster and a free trigger guard/pocket holster(Kydex material). ;)
She can get 2 holsters for her Glock in different colors too.
I'm thinking of buying a Storm Grey Tactical holster(with Surefire light attachment) for my big Glock 21 gen 04 .45acp pistol. The trigger-guard rig would be handy for my M&P Shield.
