I just ordered the EAA/Tanfoglio Witness Hunter 10mm 6" barrel. I'd like to find a 4-screw or 8-screw mount for one of my Burris Fastfire III reflex sites or even a mini-red dot. I'm also looking for good Condition 1 holsters (with and without optics). I see a lot of choices for C-More optics and Picitinny but not the Aimpoint or Fasrfire base pattern.

Arizona_Mike, I have the same pistol and you are going to love it. I ordered a holster from Simply Rugged. It is stamped, 12Z Hunter.

For clarity, what do you consider a Condition 1 holster?

To me, a Condition 1 holster would be a holster that doesn't have a thumb break or other device that impedes with Condition 1 carry. However, there seems to be a group of people that consider a Condition 1 holster as one that has a thumb break that is located between the hammer and the firing pin. Which camp are you in?

I'm looking for a thumb break holster that snaps with the hammer cocked. I plan to carry it in very rugged terrain. I've owned a number of thumb breaks over the years and am accustomed to drawing from them.

I have thumb break holster from Simply Rugged for my Ruger Redhawk Alaskan that is stamped "RAK". It seems Simply Rugged has moved away from thumb breaks. There is a note that the Tribute Series is not for longer barrels. It looks like the Sourdough line can be made with a strap that has to be swept up by the hand. I'd rather not learn a completely new draw vs the one I've been using since the 90s.

Looks like Rob can do a Cuda for the gun but is not willing to do a Tribute due to his personal feelings about thumb breaks . . .

Shame as he does excellent work. I'd trust a tight pankake for most things but not boldering.

Still looking at other options.

I emailed a number of holster makers and got exactly zero responses. I'm picking up the gun Saturday. :(

Tanfoglio makes mounts for that. About $ 80 I think when available. I made my own , but I like to make stuff . Might consider a 2X scope , the sight picture comes up fast and gathers light. A lot bulkier than a red dot . 20160804_204449.jpg

Nice scope mount. Funny you replied to this thread because I just ordered a holster tonight. A Cuda from Simply Rugged. I will see how much I trust the retention.

Let us know how it shoots . Interesting pistol , considering one. Big fan of 10mm. You can't have just one.
I've posted a few comments in the Autoloaders subforum-I'll follow-up here on the holster. Short story: It shoots great but not broken in yet. Range time is limited when it's 108F outside and getting hotter. Only one FTF and I think my left hand thumb might have hit the slide stop (operator error). I cleared without inspecting by habit so there is a little uncertainly.
