Does anybody know where I might find a OWB holster for my new Steyr M9? Currently have a Don Hume leather one for my Kimber SS Pro Carry, but Don Hume doesn't make one for the Steyr. I've been looking without much luck. :banghead:

Looking for forward (FBI) cant, high ride, open top (if possible to get all these for this gun).

Thanks!!

You might try blade-tech. They're expensive, but very good quality. The paddle runs about $60. You'll have to look at the specifics for the holster and see if it meets your needs, but their paddle holster is, supposedly 3 position adjustable and is open top. I got their IWB for my M9 and I like it, but I just don't carry the Steyr that much.

Graham Leathers

I purchased a Highnoon for my Steyr M-9. I had ordered a Graham, but it never arrived.

22x9,

Funny you should mention High Noon! I was just there and browsing before coming back here. Is that the Topless you have? Have you been happy with it? Any complaints, problems, etc? How long did it take you to get yours? Did you get horse or cow hide? Lined or unlined?

Sorry for the 20 questions, just trying to get a good idea before I spend the money.

Thanks for the picture, it helps!

[Edit]: It seems to ride really high. How does it feel? I have been using a generic Uncle Mike's IWB (I do not like IWB), and it is down pretty low. Does it dig into your side at all? There is a new one, called Slide Guard, that is the Topless with a little extra leather between you and the gun slide. Thoughts on that?

Again, sorry for so many questions.

i have one. its not designed specifically for the M9, but it fits pretty good. i'll post tomorrow what it is, my memory sucks today.

I called High Noon Holsters today to ask about their stuff. Man!!! They (I talked to Michael) are incredible. Very helpful and knowledgable. And said they can get a holster for the M9 out the door in 5-7 business days (they have to make it from scratch). :what:

So, I think I will be ordering one. A little more than I was hoping to spend, but with what they were talking about, what I have read on THR about them, and the warranty they have, I think it is probably money well spent.

Now, the big decisions: lined or unlined? color? :D

Thanks!!!

A while back, I purchased a CZ100 and couldn't find a holster anywhere. I finally found one at High Noon Holsters. They're not kidding about the turn around time. I ordered on a weekend and the holster was delivered about 8 days later (I think it was about 5-6 business days. Excellent service and craftsmanship.

With High Noon Holsters, did you go lined or unlined? In talking with them today, seems most everyone gets the lined. Does it make that much of a difference? Seems like it would be worth it for the extra 10 bucks or so.

Thoughts?

I've haven't bought a lined holster in quite some time. Then again, I don't really care about holster wear on my carry guns. Seems I get about the same amount of holster wear regardless of whether the hoslter is lined or unlined.

OK. 20 answers:

1. Topless
2. Unlined
3. Very happy with it.
4. It arrived a week after I ordered it.
5. Cow hide
6. Doesn't dig
7. Rides comfortably high
8. The slide guard would have been nice. I'm finding that unless I keep my shirts neatly tucked into my pants, there is a tendency for a fold of the shirt to go into the holster when I re-holster the Steyr. So I am extra careful when I re-holster, I don't want a ND because my shirt caught the trigger. I think the extra leather of the Slide Guard would prevent that.
9. As to feel... it feels nice and smooth.
10. I have not had any problems with Drawing and re-holstering.
11. Good Quality.

Hey, that is only 11, I feel shorted!!!!!! :D

Thanks for all of the input. I think I am settled on a High Noon.

BTW - In talking with them today, Michael recommended not getting the one with the slide guard because he said he thought for IDPA it might fold over and do what your shirt is doing. But my guess is that it would have to have a lot of wear for a piece of leather that thick to limply lay over the opening to get caught in the holster.

I think I will go for the slide guard, lined (has some extra stitching that looks nice as well.

Thanks for putting up with tons of questions!
