I recently bought a Bianchi leather IWB holster for my Smith J-frame. Well the holster is comfortable and conceals well...however the fitment of the holster is not too impressive.

It constantly feels like the gun is just sitting "loose" in the holster. I try to push it in a little deeper but it does no good.

I am not really in a position to buy $50+ holster so I'm wondering what my options are.

When i'm wearing Carhartt work pants or BDU's, I can just carry in my pocket, however when I'm wearing Wranglers it prints pretty bad in the front pocket.

Thanks for any advice! BBED

Or you can wet the thing down - i.e. leather has absorbed water. Tightly wrap your J frame in saran wrap, insert same into holster and wait a day or two.

The leather will shrink and will be form fitted to your revolver.

Of course if you do that and it doesn't shrink enough it is unlikely that Bianchi will take it back...

I've heard of that wrap and wet technique also. Personally, if you have a nice gun and you decide it's worth carying, I believe it's worth buying an equally suitable holster. Why skimp on such an important piece in the CCW set-up if you didn't skimp on the gun? Granted a good one will cost some money - even more than $50 but hey, you wouldn't park your Ferrari in a tar-paper garage, why carry your nice gun in a cheap holster?

I completely agree. But at the time, I didn't think that Bianchi was that bad of a holster. I should have just ordered a Comp-Tac to begin with, but I was moving and didn't have time to wait around for the shipping, so I went w/ the Bianchi because I lived in the city where Bianchi was headquartered.

I agree about quality in leather work. Hell thats why I started making holsters....I couldnt find anything for my guns.
Yould be surprised how many people spend 150$ on a Makarov and then 75+$ on a holster for them......its all personal preference and priorities.
Shoot well.

Call Bianchi before doing anything else. Please let us know what they say and how/if they help you.

They should make it right, probably just a qc error on their end. Happens to everyone.
