Holsters for field use

I've always been a fan of solid Kydex (recently the Safariland ALS systems)- nylon has always trapped water and rusted stuff up on me.

Get some brand of pancake holster for trail gun as branchs will not hang up on the front or rear edges of the holster like it will on a nylon holster or western cut rig. . Cross chest for hunting handguns or major meat eater issues. Nylon is for occasional needs or beginner woodsman and we have all had them.

Hard to carry a 4lb scoped 8" to 12" handgun any other way than cross chest. Some holster are adjustable and can allow you to wear both and access a handgun with just asweep under the bino's. I use a streachy harness from calbela's and find I can get along with it.

If you think about hunting with a rifle and wearing a back pack , they tend to not work well together but a Boonie Packers- Safari Sling lets you carry a rifle across your chest low enough bino can set high on your chest above it.

If any of you guys have some ideas for a kydex design that would be useful to hunters or general outdoorsmen, please feel free to PM me.
