I cleaned my Remington 700 tonight. I'd read good things about Hoppes Elite on here, so I decided to give it a try. I saturated a couple of patches with it and ran them through the bore. Then I let the rifle sit for a little bit and let the elite soak the bore. I then sprayed some on my bore brush and ran that through the bore a couple of times. A nice puddle of dark black gooey fluid poured out the muzzle! Thank goodness I had a plastic bin sitting under the muzzle when that happened, or it would have left a small disgusting puddle of carbon goo on my living room carpet.
I was quite impressed with the Hoppe's Elite. It removed carbon that the Hoppe's No. 9 and CLP just couldn't get cleaned out. Highly recommended!
