After watching the video a few times, I'm not entirely convinced that they were initially attacking. It appears to be a well traveled trail that they're on, so they probably got spooked and took a known "safe" route to get away from whatever they were running from. Would like a longer video to see how that whole thing started.

That situation makes a good case for a semi-auto with >5 capacity.

After watching the video and listening to the individual shots, I believe most "shots" sound effects were added to the clip.
Running in full winter gear, with gloves, most are carrying bolt action rifles and maybe one handgun, there are too many shots without re loads.Could be the guy edited in a few "loops" of repeated gun shots, as in several instances there are three shots let off at once, several times, without change in pitch.

Obviously the "Run" sound clip was added, so it wouldn't surprise me if there were a few more "shots" thrown in there as well.

this is a very unlikely scenario but my 10mm with 1-2-3 extra mags will be a must for the woods

Probably an European driven hunt. Other shots are from other shooters/standers on the drive.

    Capacity. Yes, Please.
Even if under a 10 round limit its not difficult to have 11 rounds (10 + 1) available; Examples: Glock 26, 29, 30SF, Sig 365, Ruger LCP MAX (MAX if limited to pocket carry)
Nowhere would I rather have a 5 shot snub (revolver) than at least a Sig 365 - I'm not shooting from coat pocket in FL so that is not a snub advantage here.

Sorry guys, I couldn't find a YouTube source or I would have posted that. If anyone else has the video on YouTube, please post the link, and I'll edit my OP.

I hate FB too... But it passes the time sitting on the crapper. lol

And BTW, you can sign up for FB without actually creating a profile or even using your real name. So you don't need to 'do facebook' to sign in and watch a video.

Been there. Hiking on a trail. Two huge momma pigs and a slew of babies went streaming across the trail. They had little interest in us. Had a Glock 19, never thought of using it as they were hauling pork butt. Friend of mine, ran into a big boar by surprise. He had a Winchester Defender with him, pistol grip (stupid, he later changed it for a stock). He poked the boar in the snout and it ran away.

You'd be better off learning to run your rifle well. Your allowed to actually practice topping off and reloading a bolt gun fast just like you do with your magazine fed firearms. I actually took a dangerous game course were that was part of the course. Your also allowed to use the terrain to you advantage. Those are pigs running scared, a modest tree would have stopped any of them so standing behind said tree would shield you from their panic charge. They are running scared and are not going to come back around to take a second swipe at you. They are going to keep going once past you.

The link (this thread) is useless to any and everyone that isn’t a member of that social media platform.

Perhaps you could also post your login information? ;)

Those piggies can be mean. I have been told stories of people being treed by them.

    Never happened to me.

    They are pests however.

I'll never understand why people insert annoying music into videos where it is completely unnecessary.

Yes, I always hope to run across some hogs while out deer hunting in the National Forests here in Texas, but so far nada. They say Texas is overrun with them, but they seem pretty good at hiding to me.
Me and my hunting partner mostly hunt with ARs in either 6.5 Grendel or .350 Legend (sometimes .450 Bushmaster) with 10 round mags and carry a backup 20 just in case the SHTF. Last couple of years we also open carry a .45 acp with a couple of extra mags more for the nutballs we sometimes encounter, but I think they'd work nicely in making some bacon as well.
How come nothing fun like that ever happens to me?

I live in a boring suburb north of Houston in Spring. There is a creek running behind my house that runs for many many miles, from Lake Houston with tributaries all the way up to Conroe and the national forests up by Huntsville, so it is an extensive greenway corridor.
A couple of years ago a lady taking her kids to school filmed a sounder of hogs with her phone, probably 30-40 of them, barreling their way down the residential street looking for the way back to the creek. It was hilarious, so yes sometimes opportunity strikes when you are prepared.
Still no good pictures of Bigfoot yet, though I know he is hiding out in the San Houston National Forest somewhere; I see the discarded Slim Jim wrappers!!
