Homeland Defense Rifle

Another topic where some of the posters are too young to know, and some are too old and have forgotten because of Alzheimers.

If you all want to have special "Names" for these rifles, then you deserve any and all stereotypes that are put upon you. We already have to fight the media calling some of these "Assault Weapons", or mentioning handguns used in crimes as "Automatic Weapons".

I simply buy and own "RIFLES" and "PISTOLS". My 32acp, 9mm, Mak, 38spl, 357, 45, etc... can and have all been used for fun, plinking, varmints, and defensive purposes. Same with my rifles. I've used 7.62x39 AK's for deer hunting as well as my 30-30 and 7mm mag. And I will use any and all of them for defensive purposes if needed. Just like my Remington 870 will shoot doves, duck, geese, and anyone entering my house.

If you buy a gun specifically for defensive purposes; and you refer to it specifically as a ".... Defense Weapon"; then you deserve your neighbors, friends, family, and media calling you a paranoid gun toting redneck.

I don't call the knife block in my kitchen a "Homeland Defense Knife". But if that's the closest to me when someone kicks in my front door, then they'll have a 8" razor sharp meat knife in their chest. You're not in the military and you're not on a swat team. Stop pretending you're Rambo. You own a/some rifles and/or pistols. Nothing more and nothing less. And you want to know why the media thinks gun owners are a bunch of crazy paranoid rednecks afraid of "Red-Dawn"??? Because some people ARE!!!
