Homemade shoot n see targets

Not nearly the same but for m shoot-n-see blow away due to splatter when I shoot because I shoot steel...but I take cheap easter eggs and fill them with flour and hang them by fishing line. Big beautiful poof of white. I also have shot sidewalk chalk for colorful poofs.

Cheap store brand carbonated soda cans are great for "explosive" targets. I can buy 12 oz soda cans 24 for $5 and a .22 LR round can make them explode at 100 yards. The ammo is more expensive than the targets.

Years ago, a buddy and I used to fill paper cups (no Styrofoam then) with flour and shoot them with our 44 Magnum. The effect was quite nice and it was all washed away harmlessly. We did pick up the paper cups but even they would have rotted soon enough.

I've spend the time, money, and effort making those type of targets and have been disappointed with the results. Mine did not have the applied surface disintegrate around the hole as shown.

I was not happy about the wasted effort, and would rather just purchase reactive targets in the future. Obviously, your results may vary.

A big bunch of balloons, cheap at the big box, use a funnel to put in little flour, or dried dirt, fill with air from a small compressor. Get a pop and a puff. Pick up the balloon scraps.
We do this on our private land only.

Parchment paper from the grocery store works good, too.
No need for the expensive packing tape or plastic drop cloth.
Just spray the no stick paper with paint.

Use diet. Then the resulting mess isn't sticky--makes it easier to go down and place more targets.
