Homosexuals celebrate in ravaged New Orleans and relocate “Southern Decadence 2005” to Lafayette.
Not wanting to let a few thousand deaths get in the way of perverted fun, gay Democrats staged a march on Bourbon Street Sunday and relocated their annual “Southern Decadence” bash from to Jefferson St. in Lafayette, Louisiana.
The original New Orleans “Southern Decadence” bash was to take place between August 31 - September 5, 2005. The new event is slimmed down to one day and will happen Wed, Sept 7th in Lafayette.
Is this sick or what? Katrina is the worst thing to happen to the US since the Civil War and these people still insist on playing hide the weenie just a few miles east of the death and destruction.
Why didn’t they just cancel the whole thing out of respect for the dead?
Are these people sick puppies or what?

(New Orleans, Louisiana) It was a scene like something from a Fellini movie. Amid the death, the destruction, and suffering in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina a small parade behind a tattered rainbow flag made its way up Bourbon Street on Sunday.
The marchers said they were celebrating Southern Decadence. The group - about two dozen people - all said they lived in the largely gay French Quarter. Defiant, they said they were not about to flee the community despite orders from the city to do so.
The French Quarter, the oldest neighborhood in New Orleans, sits on higher ground than most of the city and escaped the worst of the flooding.
