Just looking for some feedback on the SIG "Certified Pre-Owned" pistols that are out there. A local shop here has almost a dozen of these things, mainly P220's and P228's in varying configurations. Most of them look nearly new in overall condition. For the going price, I'd be hard pressed to pass up adding another P220 or P228 at this point, especially considering the current NIB SIG prices. A P220 or P228 with night sights would be $550 out the door. Are there any real issues with these refinished\preowned pieces??

I purchased a CPO sig pro SP2340 in 357 SIG with night sights, two mags, a lock, two grips and all the accompanying paperwork. The finish on this gun was flawless when I opened the red box and inspected the gun. The night sights are nice and bright. The bore and entire interior of the gun was spotless. I swore that I actually received a new gun....of course my CPO experience may different from the next person's experience.

I managed to get this gem for the "princely" sum of $357.....not bad!

Count me as a Sig CPO believer!

:D

I think they must be one of the best bargains around if you want a SIG classic. I bought a 229 in 357 SIG and although the gun works great, one of the magazines had a bad spring and follower. One call to SIG c.s. and a new mag was on the way. I'd suggest replacing at least the mag springs if you get a CPO.

They are great deals. They are a perfect way to pick up a Sig.

What dealer are you looking at?

Interested to know who has P228 CPO?

I have three: a 229 in 9mm, a 229 in .40 and a 220. Other than the cosmetic flaws (really, only a few), they are as good as new to me. I think they are the best bargins going.

What is the dealer's name and phone number? I am in the market for a Sig p220 stainless. I would love to have a Sig CPO!

You can PM me if you want.

I want a sig P228 or Sig P229 in 9mm CPO, anybody out there have a good place.

Thanks

I bought my P229 CPO from Ordnance Outsellers: www.ordnanceoutsellers.com and I couldn't be more pleased. This was about a year ago. I've put probably 2500 rounds through it so far, including a weekend of LFI's Advanced Handgun Skills where I put 1400 through it on a Saturday and Sunday. It has been a flawless gun so far. Only thing that would even indicate that the gun was pre-owned was a little bit of holster wear but that is quite normal.

I do see a P228 and P239 in the future for me if I can stop buying H&K's.:D
