Hey Y'all
I went out today and bought a cheap cleaning kit. The only reason I did this was because all of my "good" cleaning supplies are far away from me right now and I just scored a used rifle. It always pays to have a few extra cleaning kits around anyway.
Well, I used the patches that came with the kit. WHAT A WASTE OF SPACE! These things left massive ammounts of lint in my barrel! And this was only with one pass per patch!
Granted, the bore of this rifle is a little rough, but I have never in my life seen so much lint in a barrel. This is the first time I have ever used store bought patches, and I doubt that I will ever do so again. What a crock.
Don't waste your money on this crap. Just use old cotton T-shirts or the like. They have never let me down. Too bad I didn't have any around today.
