Anyone shoot any game with the 108 eldm yet, In my case I'm talking whitetail deer from a 6mm ARC. These type bullets I've had great luck in 6.5mms and up and more power then the 6arc, I have confidence in 6mms on deer just not a heavier target type bullet I've not used. Shot plenty of deer with 243-6mms 85-100 grain hunting bullets, seen some gel tests from 6arc with the 108 eldm and they look promising. Think I should be getting about 2650 out of my gun figuring for the temps I'll be hunting and plan on taking a deer this weekend if I can get out to hunt.

think speeds at 100 is around 2480 and 2320 at 200 yards, spot I'm hunting max shot is about 300 yards. Think I have the bullet drop right. 100 yard zero, 1.4 moa drop at 200 4.4moa at 300. Still debating if I should punch the shoulder like normal or go for lung shot on these.

If it were me, I'd go for the lungs every time with a 6mm unless I had a neck shot available. I like neck shots for obvious reasons. ;)

The gun is heavy so all shots will be from some support of some kind, so neck shot is no problem. I've shot a bunch of deer with a 22-250 with high shoulder and neck shots even with vmax bullets but the 22-250 has the speed to kill. My luck a bear will step out and I'll really be Completing taking a shot lol. I don't normally use lung shots since some land I hunt are small or the spot is close to other property so a quick kill is preferred.

Im in the same boat.
The ELDs are about all I shoot all the way upto .30 cal, but ive never used one in a 6s.
I know the 6cm and fast twist 243 guys are liking the 108 eldm for hunting, I'm interested if the 200-300 feet slower arc will preform good to. I figured the arc is probably at the muzzle what the 6cm/243 is at 150 yards of so, I've always felt comfortable out to 400 with 243s with a hunting bullet. The bigger 6 guys have been making some kills pretty far out with the eldm even some shooting elk. These seem to hold together more like a hunting bullet then say a berger bullet.

If just like to have a bullet I can shot long range one day and the next use for deer the next, pretty much a do all bullet. The price tho I'm not keen on, there pretty pricy for a 6mm, it's almost cheaper to get them as loaded ammo being about a buck more per box then the 105s. Still think I'll try some speers tho.
