More than likely a dumb question, and I already have my thoughts, but wanted to see what others are doing. Hornady #9 has 3 different sections for 223/5.56 data: 223 Remington (1-12" twist), 223 Remington service rifle (1-9" twist), and 5.56 Nato (1-7" twist). My rifle is an AR, it has a 1-8" twist, and a Wylde chamber (gun is stamped 5.56mm). I was initially going with the service rifle data, but looking at the 5.56 nato data it gets closer to what the VihtaVuori website load data looks like (as well as some of the other powder manufacturer's website listings) - I guess as long as one starts at the lowest charge and works up carefully, it will all be similar in the end...

You could use data from any of the tables. Your one-in-eight inch twist barrel will stabilize all but the heaviest bullets.

This...

And a Wylde chamber will handle 5.56 and .223 if your shooting factory ammo, or have concerns about 5.56 service rifle data.

Also bear in mind, Hornady #9 data is very lawyered down. Check their loads vs Lyman, and look on the powder manufacturers website for load data.

Yes, I was noticing that on the VV website - at least a one grain difference on the high end!

Yeah, I thought the same when I did my comparison with Lyman 49th and Hornady 9th using 55gr FMJBTs. I think Hornady tops out at 24.5 gr of H335, and Lyman is like 26gr if my memory serves me right. I run at 25.5gr of H335 with 55gr FJMBTs, shooting groups around one inch.

I just take everything with a grain of salt. Take the averages of 3 different starting and max loads, average them out, start about in the middle of the load chart, work up from there.
