I have an oppurtunity to buy a hornady case feeder for my lnl ap press at a pretty good price. The guy said it only has about 1400 pieces of brass put through it. Said it works great. Even comes with the clamps to mount to older lnl presses. Mine is post 10,000 serial #. My question is, did Hornady make any changes to the case feeder since they made the changes to the press? I know they jacked the price way up on the feeder so I don't know if they did that because of costly improvements or if it is the same. I don't want to spend the money on it only to be a lot bigger pain to work with than the new ones. Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, they have not changed anything with the case feeder except the price. I got my press a little over a year ago, it's in the 9200 s/n range, and the case feeder bolts directly to the machined flats on the back of the press.

Probably best to call Hornady, they can tell you for sure.

No I don't believe there were any changes, but I think Hornady had some legal issues to resolve with Dillon since it is the same case feeder only black; the shell feeder pates appear to be interchangeable. I know I keep watching EBay for Dillon shell feeder plates If you remember that there was a period after they were released that they were real scarce and then when they did reappear they were extremely expensive.

If you buy a used hornady case feeder, make sure it comes with all of the small parts and adapters. There are quite a few different pieces. The printed manual is worthwhile. It is online also, but that one seems to be missing some of the details.
