Hornady Cheapie Case Feeder ?

I don't do enough reloading to justify the outlay for the electric case feeder for my Hornady LnL, but I was just wondering.... Has anyone tried setting up just the case slide and vertical feeder tube - the equivalent of the semiauto primer filler that the press comes with?

If so, what was the cost of setting that up? Or is there another, similar, answer out there that I don't know about?

Interesting idea. My only fear is that they may not sell you the separate parts or they would be so high priced that you may as well buy the whole sysrem.
There also will be time involved in orienting the cases correctly in the tube manually.

I have a friend that does exactly as you suggest with his Dillon 28ga shot shell loader. No reason it won't work with the LNL. You will have to buy the slide and tube as replacement parts from Hornady.
