hornady guy what do you do with your dies

I keep them in their original boxes. For many Lee die sets that came in the round boxes I bought new and used flat boxes, mostly Lyman and relabeled and put the Lee dies in them. Hornady/Pacific has used several different box designs over the years but they all stack and are good for storage on shelf with the labeled end out so it is easy to pick out from the herd which one I want. I don't try to keep the boxes in any caliber order, just handgun on one side and rifle on the other, or on different shelves if there are that many.

All my Lee dies are in the original round containers in a 3 hole turret and are labeled on top for identification. I have some RCBS and Redding specialty dies that are on a wooden rack I made by drilling 7/8" holes in several blocks of wood and glueing theminto a stair step affair for a 12 place holder.

I store my dies in RCBS or Redding boxes. Over 30 years of loading, my storage system works with that size box. Also, some other tidbits related to that cartridge are stored in the box.

I store my Redding dies in Lee boxes, because Lee die boxes offer better presentation.

I buy the Lee 4 Hole Turret plates so my dies are already set and ready to put in press. I store them in the Lee plastic round cases the dies come in. Very handy and they are ready to go at a moments notice.

I use mostly RCBS with some Lyman & a couple of Redding die boxes. Redding should change theirs IMHO. I know of no one who uses the exterior holes for loading cases and they take up room on the inside.

I use fishing tackle trays. I store 2 calibers per tray and each tray gets labeled accordingly. The trays stack nicely as well.

Redding should change theirs IMHO.

Definitely! Dies with L-N-L bushings fit in the RCBS boxes, not the Redding. When i bought the Hornady progressive a couple years ago, I had to shuffle dies and boxes. Dies used on the single stage went in the Redding boxes.

I have hornady dies. The boxes they come in are large enough to hold the dies, inside their L-n-L bushings. That, and the rebate, are probably THE reasons I have hornady dies. But for that, I'd get the Lee sets that include the FCD.

I have 2 sets of dies for each caliber.
One set stays in the Dillon toolhead
and the other set stays in their original box.

I use the 2nd set in my single stage for very short tests.

That's guys I wasn't sure about lnl bushing fitting in the original boxes all my dies are lee right now but I wanted to get a new set for the new press just for the stuff I find I will be reloading alot of
