I had ordered a second Hornady LNL progressive press because I'd always wanted another one and you got 1000 free bullets!
Well when my second one came about a month ago, three of the bushings would not securely hold the dies like my old one did. They were loose!
I finally e-mailed Hornady last week and a Mr. Bob Palmer responded by immediately sending me (got here in two days) three new bushings and stated that they had checked each one for proper function. I'm feeling better now
Looking at the new bushings and at the press it now occured to me how do you unscrew the defective ones? There is no place for a wrench on the defective bushings and no tool was provided or instructions given.
Digging around I found an old adaptor bushing I never used and filed flats on opposite sides of it to fit a 1-1/8" wrench, stuck it in the defective bushings and easily unscrewed them and installed the new ones. They don't come out easy so file the edges of the bushing to a tight fit in the wrench.
All is well now. Just thought I'd share this because others had posted the same problem.
Minnesota celebrated the arrival of SPRING! with 10" of snow No easter egg hunting outside this year.
