I definitely think the LNL bushing system is the greatest innovation in reloading in many years. Now if only we could get a press that had some sort of primer magazine that held at least 500 primers and could be loaded in a minute or two.

I agree, but since I have gotten down to shooting 10mm only I won't be reloading anything other than that so it wouldn't matter.

For what little you're reloading, you'd of saved a lot of money if you'd of simply gone with a Lee Classic Cast press. Works as well as the 550 and for that few a rounds, a lot cheaper.

You may, however, find you're shooting a lot more for the same money and reloading more as a result.

Someone that doesn't have it may not understand as well, but I have Rhumatoid Arthritis and I figure my shoulder can handle 100 pulls of the handle to make 100 rounds a lot better than pulling it 400 times to make the same amount. If I was still young and healthy I might very well have gone that way.

You are probably right about the number of rounds I shoot going up though.

Glad to hear from some LNL fans. It seems most forums if you are loading with "blue" then you bought the wrong product. I have an AP and I have been totally happy since I purchased the press. I also opted for 1k of the 45 bullets, so that was another seller for Hornady. I have always liked Hornady ammo and bullets, and their presses are right up there in quality. I personally could justify the higher cost of the Dillon's, so Hornady for me is the only way to go.

I've read the above comparisons, and one really nice feature of the LNL hasn't been mentioned.

There is a button on the powder measure rotary drum...press it and the powder insert slides out. So, after running a batch of ammunition, slide the insert out, label it with the powder charge and type, and store it with your dies. The next time you want to reload that charge, slide the insert into the drum and you are ready to go! No adjustments necessary. Talk about saving time and effort! And, multiple inserts are fairly cheap...:D

Salty,

Since you have Rheumatoid Arthritis I highly recommend the Dillon Roller Handle. It definitely makes reloading much easier and requires less energy to resize brass, even the large calibers. I added the Roller Handle to my Hornady and I also believe that you have pay extra to get them on the Dillon with the exception of the 1050.
