I'm looking for load info on their swage lead bullets.
158 gr 38spl lswchp
230 gr 45acp rn
255 gr 45 colt 454 dia.

Does the manual have listing for Hogdgon Universal Clays with those loads?

What do think of the manual overall. I have Speers, Lyman and Lee would it be worth adding this or just more of the same.

Hornady manual has load data for Hornady bullets.
Do you use Hornady bullets? If so, then I'd recommend getting it.
If you don't use many of their bullets, then no it isn't helpful.

I generally use lead or plated, so my copy just collects dust.

By the way, yes it does have data for Clays Universal for each bullet you mentioned

10428 - 3.4 - 4.2 (4.4 is listed as +P)

12308 - 5.2-5.9 (6.2 is listed in red - 900fps)

12458 - 5.6-7.4 (7.9 in red)

I have the 8th edition. They have data for all 3 of those loads with Clays in lead bullets.

Their manual is okay. I use Lyman's 49th more often, but, a local store carries their lead at a reasonable price so I shoot them and use the manual from time to time.

Hey thanks, yes I use their bullets , so I may pick one up. I just didn't want to buy one and not have it show loads with my powder. Thanks a lot.

The name of the powder is Hogdgon Universal Clays, so looking data up on www.hodgdon.com should be a logical step.
They provide the most up to date data available for your calibers, and as others have mentioned, my expensive load manuals are rarely opened. Just for cross reference occasionally.
Standard bullet weights trump bullet brands when working up loads with lead or lead core bullets.

NCsmitty, thanks for info. These are lead swage bullets and I was just trying to find out how hard or soft the load data should be. These seem to be able to shoot at or a round mid range. I know a lot of lead swage should be on the low side because of soft lead.
