Your updated variances are just fine, to be expected with any flaky powder. Yeah, 231 is "Ball(tm)", but they are flattened out to make 'em flakes as far as I'm concerned.
Did not realize that you were on the electronic scale plan. Your experience is a great example of why I still have no desire to spend $$$ on them.
If you REALLY want to see what's up, repeat the experience from your charge-growth period, but SAVE 10 individual charges and two of the 5- or 10-throw charges, and weigh them AGAIN when your later throws seem to be getting heavier. 5.25 going up to 5.4 consistently is a bit of a concern. If those charges that weighed an average of 5.25 in the beginning of the session are ALSO reading closer to 5.4 later on, you've isolated a scale problem.
