I want to mount one to the underside of a cabinet so it would be mounted upside down from the conventional bench mount. Can the LnL insert (not the bushing) be unscrewed and screwed in from the bottom?

The female part of the LNL Bushing system isn't machined with the base and should unscrew (just like their conversion part).

My larger concern, when mounting the stand inverted, is the clearance between the vertical portion of the stand and the Metering Insert

It is not like the conversion part, it looks like it is pressed in to me. I see no indication of threads and would not even try to remove it. If I were in your shoes I would make one using the conversion set and some aluminum stock.

Thanks guys. I have the conversion piece in my redding single stage and was hoping it was just like that. I don't have a lot of bench space so trying to save some. I'll give hornady a call tomorrow. nowhere around me has on to look at.

On hornady's website it says it accepts any powder measure with 7/8"-14 threads

Hornady's customer service is great. he actually got one and tried it whole I was on the phone. The female piece does indeed unscrew from the top and screw back in from the bottom.

Is your stand older/newer?

The one I looked at looked just like the LNL presses with the screwed in female bushing parts
