I'm setting up a new Hornady LnL AP, and using the CAPD with a Hornady powder thru expander die. The PXD bushing drops into the CAPD lower assembly, which is then screwed into the LnL bushing. It looks like it is the lower assembly which ultimately needs to be adjusted in height to achieve an appropriate flare to the case.
Can someone suggest any technique a little more scientific than just "adjust, check, adjust, check, ....."? Something to at least get me in the ballpark would be a nice start.
Thanks.
