CHL holders entering Houston City Hall will not be issued the usual
visitor's identification, but will be required to wear a unique, red
badge indicating that: "This person is armed."

CHL holders get a
"special" visitor's ID. Plainclothes cops don't get this special ID because
they have their OWN identification cards/tags (which apparently they wear).
Likewise federal and state officers.

Further: When they enter the building, CHL holders are given a card and
verbal notification that handguns are not allowed at city council meetings.

The new Texas law allowing CHL into municpal buildings couldn't go 5 minutes without someone getting their panties in a knot about it....

As a rule, the possession of a gun has never been nearly as dangerous as the lack of a brain. Will they now also start to hand out IQ badges?

Cool! So basically, you get a badge that says "Be very polite to me" that you can wear while you talk to whatever government payroll drone is issuing your building permit or whatever.

Sounds great!

Government is supposed to operate under fear of the people, not the other way around.

Bet you'll see this in action. :)

Methinks it will take one swift lawsuit to remedy this stupidity. I guaranty you this is a result of Mayor Brown and his cronies meddling.
