How accurate is a paradox rifled barrel?

Someone's question about a barrel extension in general made me wonder about using a SBS with paradox rifling then threading on a smoothbore with an other paradox rifling at the end of the extension (obviously just switching barrels out would be simpler, just musing on it, maybe incorporating the idea in a story). No need to match up rifling so thread wear on the weapon wouldn't be a factor.

Not sure I follow the Paradox to smooth to paradox again??

How about just smooth to rifled and Get-R-Done.

If CSI tracing the rifling marks on the slug is your story line?
Throw it in the river and put the IC choke tube back in!

Yeah, though I was thinking more along the lines of crush and/or melted down via thermite. I was just about to search for rifled chokes, thanks.
As for s-r-s-r again, i was kinda thinking first rifling gets the spin up to speed A and second rifling gets the spin up even faster if that would be necessary.

It wouldn't necessary, or desirable.

Rifling, even Paradox rifling gets the bullet or slug up to full rotational speed by the time it has moved it's own length in the bore.

Otherwise, the bullet or slug would strip or slip in the rifling and lead the rifling up terribly.

Since the first set of rifling was designed to spin the bullet at the correct rate to begin with?
Adding more spin by starting over again would very likely cause it to strip the second set of rifling and lead badly, or over-stabilize badly, or both.

I think your gas seal would be compromised with 2 sets of discontinuous rifling. If you are concerned about the twist rate being too fast perhaps you should look into a longer rifled section and utilizing a progressive twist rate.

Pretty much anyone who made Paradox barrels had a pretty good idea what rate of twist to use to make them I betcha.
