Sorry, the
made me do it.
Pretty sure the 252 came with the matchgrade. REALLY tight. Stock CCI would stick. Jack could have reamed it out a bit, but, I sold it on gunbroker, made a profit, and someone is shooting 1/4" holes with it at 50 yards, in the mid west.
It had nearly a 10" barrel, sil. sites, really cool, but, at the time, it was a bit much for me. Barrel was just too long, but, it seemed like a sin to cut it. The whole package just looked right:
That group was shot on a freezing day, windy, raining, and I had too much coffee;-)
I'm really leaning towards just custom grips, and using Paco's .224 accurizer on the ammo first. That may change when I get the barrel mic.
done.
If the barrel is REAL bad, I'll change it, or sell the gun.
I'll have 500 in, on top of 500, with new barrel, trigger, sites, and grips.
I'm looking for stainless, SA/DA very accurate 22lrs. I LIKE revolvers, and I try and make them as much like my other guns as possible. Good to cure the flinch from the big guns, and, afford to shoot in this frigging state.
The more I read this, the more insane it sounds.
I could buy a bolt action, hyper accurate single shot for 500. By the way, I'm not much for semi-auto 22lrs. I figure the bolt guns are more accurate, and, they both are pretty far from 1911's, or for that matter anything I shoot.
Likewise, one of them fancy, match grade Suls, or whatever that match grade rifle is.
Excellent DA revolvers are around for 1000 bucks.
I may just stay with new grips, since these are WAY too small for my hands.
