I see the brass all the time. Even known people to willingly fire 9mm in 40 cause it was cheaper. By the way people are stupid. I seen a video somewhere of a 223 being fired in a 9mm. The pistol had to be assembled around the round.

Absolutely a 270 Win will fire just fine (well not so fine) in a 30-06 Spring. chamber. The 270 Win parent case is a 30-06 necked down to the 270 caliber.

Forgot I posted this. Probably because it was a dumb question.

My curiosity was whether a .30-06 round would chamber in a .270 but I posted the question the other way around.

I would think the larger diameter bullet may prevent chambering. Might need to go through a dummy round in the .270 to find out.
