Just scored a 1976 Peacemaker Buntline LNIB. How desirable is it?
Hi all, until now all the guns in my collection are Troopers, Pythons, SW 27's and similar. Just saw a deal I could not refuse, even though from a dealer. A LNIB Peacemaker Buntline, complete with original box, papers and even target. Perfect finish on the gun and both cyliners. Jus a partial faint drag line on one cylinder. How desirable is a set like this? Value? I generally prefer magnum revolvers with shorter barrel length but this one was just soooo pretty.

I just sold a similar condition New Frontier Buntline, .22lr, got $350 for it and felt lucky. That's what I paid for it too. It did have one idiot mark at the end of the barrel just below the front sight.

Anyway, according to Guntrader's Guide NIB=$415. Ex=$315, Gd=$259.

Just did a price check at a friend.

On page 540 of the 13th edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values they list the Peacemaker Buntline as $750 (retail) in 100% condition plus 10% for the original box. This book is from 2010 and if gun prices are headed anywhere, it would be up :D
