How did I do on this Weatherby Orion SSC?

I have this friend that is going through a nasty divorce and needed the cash. He had this Japanese built Weatherby Orion SSC. It is MINT, he said he only fired it a couple times which appears true, because it doesn't look like it has seen any action.

He needed the money bad, so going on Weatherby's rep and what I know of the o/u market I paid him $700. I know these went for 1.5k+ new.

STEAL? I have been wanting an O/U for awhile now, so I'm happy either way.
