My Glock 22 has the factory nightsights where the frontsight appears to be crimped in place. I'm going to order a set of Heinie Slant Pro Straight 8 sights tomorrow from Brownells and had some questions:

1) Are there any other tools or parts I should order?
2) How do I install the Heinies? I took the Glock armorer class a couple years ago but we really didn't cover sight installation. Do I just put the slide in the vise and use a punch to drift out the rear sight? Someone help me out here.
3) I assume I should use Locktite on the front sight, what color? Do the Heinies come with a nut or do I need to order one from Glock?

Get the Ed Brown nut driver (there is at least 1 other nut driver but I don't know who makes it) for Glock sights too. :)
You got the basics drift the old rear sight out. I used a punch and drove the front out from the back, breaks the little crip holding it to pieces, but I wasn't concerned with saving it. I used some Red locktite on the front, nothing on the rear, the Heinies come with all the pieces you'll need! The EB driver fits the bolt that holds on the front sight, you can do it without the driver, but I don't recommend it. It can be a battle! I put them on a Glock 20, used it for several years and 1000s of rounds no problems!

You'll love 'em!
