How Do I know if this Model 12 stock is for a 12, 16 or 29 gauge?

I have someone inquiring about this stock as to what gauge (12, 16 or 20) of shotgun this Winchester Model 12 would fit. Is there a measurement or a way I can tell for him?

The hole measures 9/16 of an inch if that helps.

Any help would be fantastic.
