I have a TC triumph w/scope and I broke one of the sights when I was climbing a tree. The front sight has been annoying the heck out of me and it has a flat head screw it. I tried unscrewing it but the darn thing won't budge! Plz help.

Rear sight i assume

On the T/C sights the flat head screw on top only unscrews part way. Then the dovetail and all kind of folds up. Underneath are two more screws either flat head or torx. Back these out and the sight will come off. The replacment rear sight assembly is a pretty standard for the encore and omega. I think cost is around $37.00 from Cabela's. Another thing push down on the dovetail while trying to unscrew. They are similar to the adult proof medicine bottles you get with a rx.

Sorry

I posted about the rear sight and then seen it was the front sight. I checked the front site on my Encore. It to has a flat head screw just behind the fiber optic. It is put in with loc-tight of some function. I would check the t/c website on ordering a replacment. Other than that it will take some umph to break that free. Just make sure you have a tight fitting screw driver. If not you'll strip that head out I am thinking pretty easily

With a screw that has locktite on it, you REALLY should get a heat gun or if you are very careful a torch and just heat it up till you can not hold the part comfortably (we're not looking for finger sizzle here just about 125 degrees or so). Then you can use a tight fitting hollow ground screwdriver and back it out.
