I just got a Norinco 1897 trench winchester clone and racked it a few. This gun's action is really rough and seems to hit a really rough point about midway on forward pump. I decided to rubbed some paper towel in the breech and found it horrendously dirty. I figured this might be one of the reasons why the gun's action isnt very smooth. I'm wondering if anyone out there knows how to take one apart; I looked over the internet, found one good schematic, but it doesnt really provide good information as everything is garbled up.

Oh and other owners, how do you like your trench clone?

A friend bought one and it was so poorly put together, he returned it. The action would not work and it was full of metal shavings. Sounds like you got his little brother.

Sorry I can't help you with the dissasembly instructions, but it seems to me they break down similar to the Model 12 if that's any help. I'm sure someone out there can help with this problem.

These are "solid frame" guns and are not designed to be taken apart. DO NOT attempt to remove the barrel....only a gunsmith should do this.
