Cocked and locked like a 1911?
Hammer down on loaded chamber?
Hammer down on unloaded chamber?

Before I opted for a CM9 to replace my P238HD, I carried it in condition one in a IWB kydex/leather holster (forgot the make). I never had a problem carrying it in that way.

Dogmush: do you find that holster at all bulky? Went on to the website and to me it seems like it might be. I'm used to the Desantis Nemesis. Your thoughts?

P 238 in Remora

Carry cocked and locked in Remora pocket/IWB.

This is the first EDC that I actually never have to think about what clothes I am wearing. I went to this size pistol because my S&W shield and S&W 642 didn't always fit what I wanted to wear.

I carry 6+1 and 7 in the matching magazine holder. I have several Remora's for different carry situations.

Nah, but it's in how I choose to pocket carry.*

I carry a bunch of stuff in my front pockets.Keys, phone, wallet being the minimum. When I first started trying pocket carry it was a mess.

So I got that wallet holster, and just slide it into the back pocket of my pants. It prints exactly like a wallet, and the gun just disappears.

*It should be mentioned that I'm not actually a fan of mouse guns and pocket carry. My 238 is kind of a "special purpose" carry gun for when I can't wear a belt. Business casual with no jacket, absolutely can't print a gun, or shorts and flip flops down to the store real quick kinda thing.

i also own and have used the wallet holster for many years.

It is not bulky, looks and feels like a wallet and you forget you are carrying.
Driving (any sitting) is the negative for this holster but otherwise it's as good as it gets.

Not sure there is a safe way to get the P238 into "Hammer down on loaded chamber".
