I agree with Motorcycle Charlie. I find appendix perfect. It just sorta melts into you. I carry this way everyday. Normally I wear a fitting t shirt and jeans and have no problems what so ever. I like appendix because I live in a small town and never know when I will bump into someone who wants to hug me. I also have small kids and from time to time am sliding one of them on my hip. I also like the fact that when I draw my hands are in front of me and without having to look like I am drawing from behind I can have a gun in hand. I like pocket carry but find in jeans often times it just prints more than I care for especially in a work setting.

i have a couple small kids too and it seems that one or the other needs me to pick them up or i have them both climbing on my lap so pocket carry isnt always the best solution for me. yet another reason appendix carry works well for me.

Well, it depends. I answered the poll to indicate how I carry my one of my usual SP101 snubbies concealed, outside the home, when not in a police uniform: OWB. The usual holster is a Milt Sparks PMK.

Inside the home, snubby pocket carry is very common, but concealment is not an issue, and the SP101 will peek from many pockets. I felt this was not applicable to this poll.

I no longer publicly state how I carry my backups at work, which is in police uniform. Even though the poll did not exclude LE carry, I excluded it from being a factor in my answer.

I do indeed use IWB carry "on side" some of the time, but for longer weapons than snubbies. I can cover a snubby well enough with a normal-length cover garment without having to put up with the drawbacks of an IWB rig at that position.

I got my SP101 and shoulder rig specifically for car carry and motorcycle riding. I normally carry my Kahr P45 or Glock G30 IWB, but its very hard to draw either while sitting. I will probably also get an IWB for the Ruger too, just to have the option.

Another vote in favor of appendix carry. I find it conceals way better than the standard 4:00 position, at least on my body, and I carry too many other things daily to give up the pocket space. Besides, the SP101 is really too heavy for the pocket anyway. It does best hanging from a quality gun belt.

I am starting to carry mine in an old clip on holster, IWB,

forward on my left side, butt forward. It is comfortable, stabile and concealed, even under a sweater or untucked shirt, and it is accessable with either hand. I just got this snubby a few days ago, haven't had one for some time. I have owned many Smiths, K and J frame snubs, a Colt D-Special, and a Ruger...I now own a Rossi 462 stainless 6 shot .357 mag, which I really like. I have owned Rossi's before, and have had great performance from them-this one is a winner so far, too.
The holster was probably for a D-Special, and was an old police trade in...the Rossi fits very well.

I had to vote other since polls don't let you mark more then one option. One of the things I really like about my snub, which by the way is also a 642, it that if fit so many places. I know many think, and I understand the thinking also that you should carry your weapon in the same place all the time since under stress you operate more on simple reaction that have been learned then really thinking of what you are doing. But depending on the way I'm dress and what I'm doing I go from pocket carry or IWB OWB. I also carry in my boot on those time I don't want to wear a cover garment or a untuck shirt.

My S&W 442 usually goes in my pocket. This is not my primary EDC but the one I have on me when I can't carry anything else. It's great for just throwing in the pocket to run the garbage out to the curb, get the mail, etc. It rides in a DeSantis Nemesis.
